But is it real?

These days, you can’t say nothing real without being labelled a hater, jealous or judgemental.

I had a conversation with someone who promotes “self love” but was wanting plastic surgery because she didnt like the way her nose was.

If you know me, I am always encouraging women around me to embrace what they have and not to allow what society says is beautiful effect the way they see themselves and I will tell you what I really feel if you’re asking me for advice.

Now, all I said was – “how you going to promote self love when you don’t even love yourself?”

She got really upset with me and said that I sound like those haters and I’m just being judgemental.
And that I “don’t understand”.

Now maybe she’s right? But I really feel that’s a valid question?

It’s easy to tell people to love themself when you’ve got fake boobs, fake butt etc but what message are you sending our younger generations?

Are we moulding ourselves to become these perfect looking beings while we’re wasting away and broken on the inside?

I’m tired of seeing the same look on social media.

Everybody looking like clones.
Everybody wanting to look the same.

Afraid of being different from the crowd.
Ashamed of having no likes or comments saying how hot or beautiful they are.

It’s a sham.
It ain’t real.

And I know people will hate me for this but I’m not going to encourage cutting up your temples to be worshiped by others.

Trust me when I say, cutting your nose up won’t fix the real issue.

You will keep finding things that you hate about yourself and keep cutting up or changing the way you look until you’re a totally different person to who God intended you to be then you’ll realise, it’s too late to go back.

You gotta find the root to these weeds killing your growth sisters!

You have to appreciate what you have and acknowledge that you don’t have to be everything to everyone else, you just have to mean something to yourself and have enough confidence to know that you were fearfully and wonderfully made.

Bless up❀

Security.

Walking towards a couple at the supermarket today and as I got closer, the lady grabbed her man’s hand then looked at me😏😣

Like sis, can you not see my 100 kids and my trolley is full of nappies, wipes, 34 pack of toilet paper and school lunch?? πŸ˜‚ relax!

Ladies, not every girl you come across, wants your man!

We all got different taste.

Say you like apples and I like oranges.

Whether the apple is in a pie, a juice or a fruit salad, I still won’t like apples.

And you shouldn’t have to hold your man’s hand for me to know he’s taken.

His actions should speak for themselves.

We are often left feeling insecure when we’ve been cheated on, mistreated and lied to.

Times where our trust and heart has been broken.

I get it sis, I been there.

But when you stop putting your value into the hands of a man, and allowing God to heal your heart, you’ll find so much security in your life, and the presence of another woman in your man’s life, becomes his problem, not yours.

Stop carrying unnecessary thoughts and thinking of scenarios that don’t exist.

Any time you feel threatened, unworthy or insecure, remember your worth in the eye’s of God, you were so precious to Him that He gave His one and only Son so that you would not perish but have eternal life.

So if your man fails, let your faith prevailβ€πŸ™

Fix it Jesus.

All week this message has been playing in my heart:

“Stop trying to fix, what God is trying to mould”

For awhile now, I’ve been struggling and stressing about a loved one who has really been going through it, and no matter how much I pray or reach out and give advice, I still wasn’t at peace with the outcome.

I wasn’t able to control or fix this situation, and it was actually getting worse.

None of my advice was working, God wasn’t answering my prayers for this situation, and I wasn’t functioning mentally because of it.

Until I stepped back and remembered, that I too went through similar seasons in my youth.

It then brought me to the realisation that, had I not been through the dark times back then, I wouldn’t have turned to God the way I have now.

Meaning, maybe I need to stop trying to play God and let “Jesus fix it”.

I need to remove myself from the situation and give it to God!

You see, sometimes we want to help fix others problems and issues so bad, that we end up creating issues and problems for ourselves, because it wasn’t our business to fix in the first place.

I know this is long, but I really felt like there was someone out there going through something similar that needed this and I couldn’t sleep until I got it out of my mind (1:38am) πŸ˜… haha

Sometimes we don’t always have to step up, sometimes we just got to step back and let God do His thangπŸ™

The woman behind the quotes.

Behind all the quotes I share, is a woman who is actually trying to build a real life connection with God.

A woman who is actually trying to get to a stage where she is using each breath in her being, every minute of her day to ask, talk or tell someone about Jesus Christ.

A woman who many wouldn’t recognize anymore, not because her face has changed, but because of the faith she’s gained.

The strength of known that all the stories of shame and guilt from her past, has brought her to a point in her life, where she is now able to share it with pleasure and joy knowing that someone can or will benefit from what once was her pain or her poison.

That God doesn’t just allow unnecessary pain to happen to us. It’s either a lesson for us or for someone else.

It gives her peace knowing that everything that happens to her, good or bad, isn’t always just about her.

She’s learnt that humility always wins in the eyes of her creator.

She is a completely different person, yet her goal in life still hasn’t changed and that’s to make it to heaven, or die trying.

And that woman, is me.

The difference.

29101661_10211502168651730_2852245445780963328_oYesterday I was feeling really unworthy of sharing my journey and God’s word after feeling overwhelmed with my daily struggles as a mother and also reading and hearing others negative opinions of my blog.

Although I’m not usually one to care about what people think of me, some times their words can weigh heavy on my mind and sit still on my conscience.

So while having these thoughts of giving up on my blog and deleting my page yesterday, I opened up my bible today, and this fell out.

Some times I pray for things that I want, but they’re not necessarily what I need.

Some times my prayers are automatic and memorized and not meaningful and alive.

This woke me up today!

I dropped this bookmark but this bookmark picked me up!!!

And to those negative people out there, thank you for bringing me to this point of my journey, God bless β€πŸ™

Purpose.

I asked myself : “What’s the purpose of my page? what makes it better than the rest?”

I answered : “Who said I was trying to be better than the rest? Why can’t we all be the best?

Why does everything in life have to be a game, where there are winners and losers?

I’m all about elevation, celebration and salvation.

My purpose is to kill satan’s lies and hate with God’s truth and love. I don’t care about likes and follows. I care that someone believes in being saved by the grace of God and smiling at the words of my post, without me trying to do the most.

I want to be the voice of the unheard, the overlooked, the unappreciated.

I want to create a space for Christian women to uplift eachother and share the amazing things God is doing in their lives.

That is my truth, my whole truth and nothing but the truth 🌻

Success.

We all have different versions of success.

You can’t tell me that I’m not successful because I haven’t completed the list of things that makes someone successful in your eyes.

I don’t need to put anyone down to get to the top, cause I’m not trying to head that way.

I’m not the kind of person that wants to be above anyone, or on top of the world.

God knows my heart.

I just want to help anyone that is struggling alone, hurting inside, experienced pain like me, shame like me, been played on like games like me.

Happiness and success means something different to everyone.

Money isn’t success to me.
Big house or heaps of cars is not success to me.

If you have it all and keep it all to yourself, that is not success to me.

Greed is killing our world.
Hate is burning our love and judgement is bruising our peace.

Jesus is my focus, heaven is my goal ❀

Save some compliments for yourself.

Too many of us are quick to give them out, yet we save the hate and doubt for ourselves.

Speak love into your being.

No matter how much you hate your nose or the way your thighs touch or the way you can’t look or live up to society’s expectations of “beauty”,
protect your heart.

Your heart is where the true essence of your beauty lies.

What you choose to observe with your eyes, what you choose to hear with your ears, what you choose to believe in your mind and what you choose to absorb into your being, can potentially seep into your heart and mould you into a beauty or a beast.

So be careful what you allow or put up with in your life. Surround yourself with the lovers, the nice people, the wise, the caring, the believers.

You are what you speak πŸ’–

Focus on your own business.

These days, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of comparing lives and becoming envious of what others have when you have platforms like social media, where you get to see stories on snapchat or instagram, holiday pics on facebook and for some reason, that reminded me of window shopping.

Let’s just say we’re all business owners.

One day, you come across a fancy looking shop.

From the outside looking in, it looks very appealing and clean. Perfect in every way, no mess, no stress, every mannequin dressed to impress.

You walk into their store and straight away, you’re attracted to all the great vibes and signs they’re giving you.

“CLEARANCE SALE”, “NOTHING OVER $10” and “BUY 1 GET 1 FREE”.

You start feeling down and sad thinking about your own business, it’s not as fancy and it’s not in good condition or located in a nice area like this one.

So you start investing so much of your thoughts and energy wanting everything in that store for your own shop.

You’re almost sold on everything you see, but the closer you get to read the signs it says:

“CLEARANCE SALE… red marked items only.”

“NOTHING OVER $10….. faulty or damaged.”

“BUY 1 GET 1 FREE….only on selected styles.”

You then realise, this shop isn’t what you expected or what they made it out to be. You wished you had more faith in your own shop with all the doubt and shame you started thinking, when the fancy shop had problems just like yours, they were just better at disguising it.

Moral of the story is – Everything isn’t what it seems.

Some people like to advertise and promote all the great things that are happening in their lives, but put all the things that they’re not so confident about or proud of in small print, where it’s hardly noticable.

The truth is, all our shops could do with a bit of work, but instead of competing with eachother, we need to work together and not be afraid to open up to others and learn from eachothers mistakes.

Every shop is unique and we all have different things to offer, so don’t worry about what others have or do with their business, focus on your own and work on what you can bring to the market.

And remember “Nothing comes to sleepers, but a dream” – George Veikoso

If you want a fancy shop, work hard for it.
If you’re content with what you have, thank God for it.

God doesn’t want us to impress eachother, He wants us to love one another and be more like Jesus.

So don’t let the life your neighbour is living get you down, just focus on your own journey and keep striving for that eternal crownπŸ™

Brother, PLEASE!

textgram_1507770064One thing that really irks me with some guys is this –

They always talking bout they want a lady in the streets, but a freak in the bed, but they want to be a freak in the bed, in the shed, and every where else chillin with Fred and Ted paying strippers for some head or hitting anything thats spreads! πŸ‘€

Brother PLEASE!😏

If you want to attract a lady in the streets and a freak in sheets, you better be a gentlemen in the streets and a beast in the bed.

If you want a spiritual sister, you better be a spiritual brother.

If you want “wifey material” make sure you ain’t no “fabricated husband”.

You want a girl that can cook like your mum, ask your mum to teach you how to cook.

Don’t ask for that kind of woman, if you don’t possess the qualities to attract and keep that kind of woman.

Don’t make us feel inadequate as women, when you don’t even qualify to be a man.

But back to original question on how to find a Spiritual Sister?

Spiritual sisters are so invested in their journey with God, that you have to go to Him to get through to her.

Nothings more attractive to us than a God-fearing man, a faithful lover and a great father πŸ™Œ everything else is a bonus!
